Make me smile once
and I will love you forever,
Make me smile twice
and we will be together,
Make me smile three times
and I will stop these rhymes,
Take you by the hand,
Ask you to be my man,
A love song I will sing,
As I pull out my ring,
‘Cause baby I want you to be
The only one for me.
”Will you marry me?“
I was never good at writing letters,
My sister had always done it better,
But tonight for you
I’ll write you a note you’ve never seen,
And tonight it’s true
That the words might sound like a machine,
Still, tonight for you
I’ll tell you what I mean,
Since tonight it’s true
That you’re the one from my dreams.
So then I tried to define my love
For you it’s hard to describe the feeling of
Melting when your arms wrap around mine,
A perfect puzzle fit when our hands combine,
Falling from when I look into your eyes,
This can’t be real,
This feeling too good to deny.
Clock strikes one and I’m still not done,
Homework due tomorrow began to ruin my fun,
But then I smiled; I didn’t feel blue,
I brushed my letter away,
Because when it comes to you,
I’ve got a million things to say
other than a typical “I love you.”
You finally wave goodbye to a distance-type lover. A last hug. Maybe even a kiss. But what stays with you when you sleep that night will have you in tears. A scent. The smell of your lover lingers on your clothing. A memory. You sleep with the same shirt you wore during your goodbye; you sleep in tears that night. You sleep knowing that your lover is a thousand miles away once more.
Everyone knew that we were like glue,
I stood by your side; you stood by mine too,
But one day I saw you feeling so blue,
I walked up to you: “What happened baby boo?”
”I remember the times when we were so young,
When we were just kids having nothing but fun,
The playground we played on, the swings we swung,
The bees on the grass, the stings that stung,
But that was the past, and the past is no more,
Buried in our memories unable to restore,
As for the future, I see me abhor
Being with you — our love is a chore,
We’ve tried many times to make our love true,
But each attempt failed, I knew we were through,
Being your lover bit more than I could chew,
I’m bidding you ado; I’m done with you.”
You left the scene with your chin up high,
Leaving me to wipe the tears in my eyes,
Leaving me to stare at the sky, sigh,
And to deal with this painful goodbye.
Pieces connected and a heart was formed,
A creation perfected, a creation performed
To grant love to the downhearted,
To provide for lovers who parted,
And bringing back the hidden smiles,
Bringing back the lost laughter
From the apathetic region of the mind
All of the pains, the fears,
The memories that had scarred
And worsened each year,
All of the cuts on the wrists
That strained the body into
Irrational suicidal risks,
To finally render the body free,
With the feeling too good to deny,
With the old feeling of happiness —
The feeling good enough to die.
You will lose the ability to think for yourself. Your world will revolve around that person: your actions, your thoughts, your smiles, and your tears will all be controlled by that person. Loving someone (as a family member, a friend and/or a lover) does not involve obsession, a form of absolute dependancy, and does not involve any form of psychological need associated with that person.
What is love then?
Love is trust; love is space; love is forgiving; love is permanent; love is best friends for life; love is a connection: it is like a lock and key. The lock represents one person’s heart; the key, another person’s heart. This means that true love — real love — can only be reserved for few, if not one, people. This means that love is special.
Love is not just a feeling, and certainly not when your something turns into your everything.
